ABOUT THE ARTIST
Snejana Barteneva (1986) Weimar, Germany
is a contemporary artist expressing herself in the fields of Digital art, photography and video installations. Her works combine philosophical analysis, personal feelings and the use of new technologies. Snejana seeks to involve the viewer emotionally by creating visual and sound effects.
Her photo and video installations employ codes where the body of the individual is the main decoder. It is through matter-body the link and dialogue with the beholder deploys. Jostled perspectives, representations diverted and reinvented - the viewer is no longer outside - on paper, canvas, on the screen is inside himself that he looks, it's in his own thoughts and emotions he is immersed.
The artist continues her research and work in the areas of multimedia art and photography.
